Get the Toned Body of Your Dreams with Emsculpt

Emsculpt® is a FDA-approved treatment option for toning your body and burning fat without the need for surgery.

Susan J. Seman, DO, FACOS, specializes in using Emsculpt to help you achieve your dream of a better body. Dr. Seman can help give you the muscle definition you want in your abdomen, thighs, and buttocks with Emsculpt technology, which requires no incisions or downtime.

How Emsculpt works

Emsculpt technology uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic energy (HIFEM) to stimulate the deep muscles of your body. This helps strengthen muscles you ordinarily can’t reach through traditional exercise.

The technology repeatedly contracts your muscles to increase their strength and build size. In just one session, Emsculpt triggers up to 20,000 muscle contractions to improve muscle tone and help you burn fat more efficiently.

Candidates for Emsculpt

Dr. Seman can use Emsculpt to tighten and tone muscles in both men and women. Treatment is especially effective on those who have pockets of fat that they can’t lose through diet and exercise. You might also be a candidate for Emsculpt if you’re already fit but want to enhance the results of your hard work.

Emsculpt, however, won’t help if you need to lose a lot of weight. You should be at or near your ideal body weight. As mentioned, the purpose of Emsculpt is to define your contours and treat areas that have pockets of stubborn fat. If you need to lose a lot of weight, Dr. Seman can discuss diet and exercise plans with you to help you reach or get near your weight goal first.

As part of your consultation, Dr. Seman discusses your expectations for treatment and reviews your medical history. Dr. Seman can also discuss other options available at the office, such as Coolsculpting or Emtone, for enhancing the contours of your body.

What to expect during Emsculpt treatment

During your treatment with Emsculpt, Dr. Seman attaches the Emsculpt device to the treatment area, such as your stomach, thighs, or buttocks. The device remains in place for 30 minutes while the energy moves into the deep muscles of the treatment area.

The muscle contractions help you burn fat more efficiently while your muscles become stronger. You get all of these benefits without having to do anything but lie back and relax on the treatment table.

To achieve the best results, Dr. Seman typically recommends up to four sessions spread out over four weeks.

What to expact after Emsculpt treatment

One of the biggest benefits of using Emsculpt to redefine the contours of your muscles is that treatment requires no downtime. Immediately after your treatment, you may experience some soreness in the treated muscles, but this common side effect should go away on its own within a few days of treatment.

Emsculpt causes no other side effects, and you should be able to go back to work or your usual activities right after treatment.

With continued exercise and a good diet, you should be able to maintain your results for the foreseeable future. Dr. Seman can also discuss your options to further enhance your overall appearance with other nonsurgical treatments, such as Kybella®, Botox® and dermal fillers, and the skincare and anti aging treatments available in the office.
